Konrad Lidén (b. 1989, Örebro) is a visual artist based in Stockholm, Sweden.
He studied Textile at Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm.
In his artistic practice, Konrad Lidén draws on the eye of a cartoonist to create three-dimensional works. He primarily works with soft sculpture, with a spatial interest that borders on installation or scenography. He engages with simplified narratives that are widely recognized: fantasies, daydreams, and fairy tales—worlds of clichés and archetypes transmitted through folklore, Hollywood, afternoon television, Belgian comic albums, and more. He treats this visual material as a useful scrapyard, transforming it into playful makeshift constructions that are at once familiar and surprising.
